Category: ERC, News Posted 12.02.14 13:15 by

Canadian 1997 Formula 1  World Champion Jacques Villeneuve is going to announce tomorrow a full 12 rounds attempt on the 2014 FIA World Rallycross Championship with a Peugeot 208 SuperCar of Albatec Racing.

The Canadian ‘Le Journal de Montréal’ has revealed the breaking news that 1997 Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve is going to announce tomorrow at Dumfries in Scotland a full 12 rounds 2014 WorldRX programme. The 42-year-old will join Briton Andy Scott and his team to drive one of the two Peugeot 208 SuperCars of the Scotland-based Albatec Racing squad.

It is said that Villeneuve recently did some test drives with the almost 600bhp strong Rallycross SuperCar and that the results of the trials were very promising. The WRX programme will be sponsored by the Québec-based companies ‘Julia Wine’ and ‘Cyclops Gear’, owned by business man Alain Lord Mounir, who is involved in motorsport activities like the ‘Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières’, host of the Canadian WorldRX round in August.
