It has been revealed that Daniel Holten is going to drive a total of five rounds of the RX Lites series that will be run in seven events of WorldRX.
Norwegian Rallycross talent Daniel Holten will be back in Portugal the coming weekend to start his RX Lites programme, with four events in Europe and the Finale in Turkey. “It is clear for some time already that I’m going to drive in the WorldRX Lites series, in addition to my full RallyX SuperCar programme in Sweden. This is part of the agreement we have with OlsbergsMSE. My brother Åsmund is going to drive the Lites vehicle in the SRC/STCC series, while I’m using it in the support programme of the FIA World Rallycross Championship, so we share the same car,” explains the 22-year-old, who is very happy to have been offered this opportunity.

“My main sponsor Granberg AS and Andréas Eriksson with OlsbergsMSE have made this possible, and now it is up to me to drive well and pay back with good results. It will be pretty hectic this year, with racing almost every weekend, till WorldRX Höljes will be the 8th event on my schedule. However, I like it very much that way and, therefore, all will be fine,” claims the Norwegian from Vikedal.

In the WorldRX rounds of Hell and Höljes Daniel Holten is going to drive his RallyX SuperCar for the Swedish championship: “Last year I did both events with the Volvo C30/4 SuperCar of my fellow-countryman Frode Holte, and it has become a fantastic experience for me. This year I will be back together with the OMSE team, they will run three SuperCars in Hell and four in Höljes. And to Portugal this weekend I go with good memories as well. I was down there for the 2011 ERC round, with a rented Super1600 Citroën C2 [of French Rallycrosser Steven Bossard], and eventually made it to the podium, another highlight of my rather short career.”
