Thirteen year old girl Klara Andersson, JRX European Rallycross FIA ‘International Series’ driver Magda Andersson’s younger sister, is set as one of JRX’s new drivers for the season 2014. Klara, who has driven karting before, like many other motorsport profiles did, has gained a lot of success out on the karting tracks. In 2010 she won two out of four series in Sweden and she has claimed several podiums in the big races such as ‘Göteborgs Stora Pris’ and ‘Klippan Cup’ in southern Sweden. But now she is ready for a new challenge and very excited. “I am of course very excited and I think it will be a lot of fun. I am very privileged to get this opportunity at my young age,” Klara says.

JRX European Rallycross, a new Rallycross class for youngster’s at the age of 14 to 18, came to the scene last year. After a struggling first season with some mechanical problems, the class came back better and stronger to the season 2013, with some new drivers and even more drivers waiting to join. Now, we’re in the middle of the season and the series is developing more and more. Klara’s sister Magda was one of the first drivers in JRX and she has been driving the series now for one and a half year, while Klara has been watching from the bleachers.

“I think it is great that Klara joins the JRX ‘International Series’, it’s such an amazing opportunity for someone that young,” her older sister Magda says. Klara and her team was a while ago in Strängnäs at the well-known Rallycross track Strängnäs Motorstadion, and there she tried JRX vehicle for the first time. “It was very fun and a total new experience. The JRX was very fast and also pretty easy to drive. The chassis is very good,” Klara claimed after the first test day. Klara’s goal for her first season is very clear: “The first season I’m only there to watch and learn, but of course I hope for some good results.”

The JRX cars have got a snowmobile Rotax engine of 600cc with 140bhp, 4-wheel drive and a sequential Sadev 5-speed gearbox. They have 75% of the size of a normal road car and are specially made for the series that runs alongside the FIA European Rallycross Championship (RallycrossRX).
