Holten: Destination Vegas

Category: GRC, News Posted 04.11.13 11:11 by

Norway’s hope Daniel Holten is heading to the USA and Las Vegas for another test drive with a Rallycross SuperCar of OlsbergsMSE.

It is just one month ago that Norwegian Rallycross youngster Daniel Holten tested a 550+bhp Ford Fiesta Mk7 SuperCar of the OlsbergsMSE squad at the Kinnekulle Ring in Sweden. A good day for Daniel, that led to an offer from OMSE principal Andréas Eriksson to come to Las Vegas for some more testing.

“It was great to get such a generous offer, and I decided immediately that I couldn’t let this chance pass by,” said Daniel Holten before leaving to the United States. The test is coming Saturday, but the 21-year-old has left from Stavanger today, together with his cousin Sveinung Holten Leifsen. Holten Leifsen is familiar with the US activities of the Swedish team, as he used to work some time as a mechanic for OMSE in America and has already been to Las Vegas with them.

“The test is on Saturday, but we also use the journey to visit the SEMA Motor Show in Las Vegas this week, as well as to attend the final round of the Global RallyCross Championship series on November 7. It all fits together, so this will be fine for us,” claimed Holten. “It is a great opportunity for me and I am very much looking forward to this. I experienced the SuperCar of OlsbergsMSE during the tests in Sweden, and it was very good. Now I’m eager to learn more about driving the car.”
