According to an interview of the Norwegian government-owned radio and television public broadcasting company NRK Petter Solberg hopes to get his WorldRX team officially recognised by Citroën soon.

Today NRK has published a short interview with Petter Solberg (find it here, scroll down to video; but only in Norwegian language). The extrovert 2003 FIA World Rally Champion claims that “they” [Citroën] have told him that they are very impressed by his and his team’s performance in this year’s inaugural FIA World Rallycross Championship. Solberg hopes to be nearing an agreement with the French car manufacturer to run an official factory team as both, the team principal as well as the Number 1 driver.

“I’ve raced for factory teams already, but to lead a factory team would be really cool. I have set up my own team [PSRX] to show that we can be ultra-fast, and now I hope that things can be managed within a month’s time. This is a dream I had for long. The future looks very exciting, after we have received very good feedback last weekend,” told Petter Solberg to NRK.
