Proceedings are underway at the first round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship in Montalegre, the Bompiso World RX of Portugal.

Despite early pace from Andreas Bakkerud during this morning’s practice sessions it was the young OMSE driver Kevin Eriksson who set the fastest lap time.

Spectators were also greeted for the first time to sight of 9-time WRC Champion Sebastien Loeb completing his first laps of the wet Montalegre circuit.

Q1 is set to get underway in the next 15 minutes, with the S1600 drivers completing their final races.
