RallyX Nordic series saw Kevin Eriksson take Supercars, whilst Bryntesson took the Supercar Lites. Irishman Derek Tohill’s Swedish outing resulting in a 5th place finish.
OMSE prodigy Kevin Eriksson took the weekend’s Supercar event at the wheel of his Ford Fiesta Mk7. The round, which took place in Skövde, eventually classified the opening round of the Swedish Rallycross Championship.
This first round of the RallyX Nordic series saw and entry list of 12 drivers in each class of mainly Swedish and Norwegian drivers.
Irishman Derek Tohill (Ford Fiesta Mk7) and Kenyan Tejas Hirani (Lites Ford Fiesta Mk7) were the international drivers on the list. For Tohill the Swedish event was he final preparation for the opening round of 2016 FIA European Rallycross Championship in Belgium in 2 weeks time.
Eriksson and Lukas Walfridsson (Renault Clio Mk3) were on the front row for the Supercar final with Morten Bermingrud (Ford Focus Mk2) and Mats Öhman (Ford Fiesta Mk7) occupying the second row. Eriksson lead the final from start to finish resulting in a win ahead of Walfridsson and Öhman.
A start to finish in the final Thomas Bryntesson in the Lites Ford Fiesta Mk7 classified him as event and class winner.
