Frenchman JB Dubourg is getting set for a round two Hockenheim outing before the Euro RX season opener in Mettet, Belgium in just under two weeks time.
Jean-Baptiste Dubourg will take part in the FIA Rallycross World Rallycross Championship at the famous
Hockenheim circuit this weekend. Dubourg who pulled out of WRX’s Montalegre opener due to mechanical delay, is to fight his first race at the wheel of his brand new Citroën DS3 RX.
Following winter victory in the 2016 Trophée Andros, Dubourg and his DA Racing team have been focused on a new 2016 Euro RX program. Rapidly reassured on the potential of this new Supercar, JB explains how he is now impatient to get started:
“Being at the wheel of a new car in a world championship amongst the best drivers, at Hockenheim is an incredible chance! Of course, I will be discovering everything from the circuit to the DS3 that I will be driving for the first time.”
“The different testing sessions that we have done have proven that the car is well made. Admittedly, as for every new project, we faced problems that have been solved. As of today, we have a car, well stable on its frame as well as its engine. It is a car with lots of potential, and exactly what we expect. I shall arrive at Hockenheim with a free spirit. My principal mission will be to prepare myself before the European Championship in Belgium and to familiarise myself with this new car. Evidently, as any drivers engaged at Hockenheim, I will aim for a qualification for the semi-finales, but I will not have any pressure and it is without any doubt the best solution to prepare oneself serenely,” said Dubourg.
Dubourg will be hoping that the DA Racing team can get some valuable experience in order to prepare for the Euro RX season opener in under two weeks time.
