Reigning European Rallycross Champion Sverre Isachsen was today revealed to participate in this season’s Global RallyCross Championship. The Norwegian is set to drive one of three Subaru Impreza SuperCars by SRT USA alongside Americans Dave Mirra and ‘Bucky’ Lasek.
Yes, it is confirmed now, the “Viking Warrior” will compete in the Global RallyCross Championship (GRC). Sverre Isachsen had indicated at the end of last season that he desired to make a move to the Rallycross championship that is to be held at several locations across the USA.
In a video released by the Subaru PUMA Rallycross Team this afternoon, the team announced its three driving stars. Norwegian Sverre Isachsen will drive alongside Dave Mirra, the American BMX rider and Subaru Rally Team USA driver, and professional skateboarder Charles Michael ‘Bucky’ Lasek. The team will be competing in 2012 Subaru GR WRX STI Rallycross cars.
“The Subaru PUMA Rallycross Team will be competing in the six-round 2012 Global RallyCross Championship in venues across the United States including the Charlotte Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and the Summer X Games 18 in Los Angeles,” was released by the team this afternoon.
