Sverre Isachsen finished the second round of the Global RallyCross Championship in tenth place, after avoiding a crash on the big jump.

The second round of the GRC was held at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth where Sverre Isachsen had a good day in the Subaru PUMA Rallycross Team Impreza. “The first heat was great. I was leading and finished second after Tanner Foust. With that result a place in the A final was secured.”

The Norwegian “Viking Warrior” started as sixth into the A final and had a good start. He soon had a small collision with Marcus Grönholm, but was able continue. Then the drama started. “We were heading towards the big jump, when the car in front of me suddenly braked. I had two choices. I could hit him and crash both our cars, or I could brake. I braked and stopped just before the gap. The A final was red flagged.”

Isachsen was not allowed to start the A final again, and had to watch Grönholm winning the race from the sidelines. “I don’t understand why I wasn’t allowed to start again. All I did was avoiding a big crash. But on the positive side the car was awesome, and I’m really looking forward to the next race which is a part of the X Games in Los Angeles.”
