Timed Practice to Foust

American Tanner Foust, Finn Teemu Suninen and Irishman Derek Tohill were the fastest competitors of their respective classes in Kouvola’s Timed Practice.

 

The Timed Practice sessions at Kouvola are over. In the SuperCars division it was Yankee Tanner Foust (Ford Fiesta Mk7) who bagged the fastest time, championship leader Timur Timerzyanov from Russia and Briton Liam Doran (both Citroën DS3) made it to the second and third place here. Swede Timmy Hansen did not show up at the start grid, due to problems with the car after the second Free Practice. Belgian Michaël De Keersmaecker was refused to go after coming late to the grid, while Stecka Walfridsson retired his car already in the first lap.

The two young Finns Teemu Suninen and Joni Wiman (both Renault Clio Mk2) defended their home soil by driving the fastest times in Super1600s, Swede Eric Färén (Citroën C2) ensured himself the third place.

In the class for TouringCar drivers that Irishman Derek Tohill (Ford Fiesta Mk7) was able to beat Swedish ERC newcomer Robin Larsson (Škoda Fabia Mk1) as well as the in Norway living Åland-Finn John “Pirkka” Karlsson (Mazda RX-8) to second and third place respectively.
