Category: ERC, News Posted 30.09.12 15:23 by

The last Qualifying Heats of the 2012 ERC turn to history now and its winners are Kevin Hansen, Lars Øivind Enerberg, Andreas Bakkerud and Peter Hedström.

Hey presto, there will be no more qualifying runs in the ERC of this year, the competitors at the German Estering are already preparing for the last finals of the season. The weather is really fine now, bright sunshine over Buxtehude with temperatures reaching up to 15 °C.

Although young Kevin Hansen had ensured himself the pole early he went out for the third heat as well, setting another fastest time here. In the TouringCars division 2011 Euro Champ Lars Øivind Enerberg was back to top form, beating Derek Tohill and Anton Marklund to second and third place respectively. Daniel Lundh scored the fourth fastest time, Robin Larsson made it to fifth and Jan Gabrielsen finished sixth.

In the Super1600s category pole setter Teemu Suninen did not show up at the startgrid, his teammate Andreas Bakkerud drove the Mk2 Twingo to the fastest time here to ensure himself the A final grid place beside the young Finn. Joni Wiman’s fourth place produced an A final front row with three Set Promotion drivers.

The SuperCars class was ruled by Peter Hedström, the Swede powered his ex-Jernberg Škoda to the fastest time and, thereby, claiming the position beside pole setter Davy Jeanney on the A final grid. The Frenchman was once again very fast, set another second fastest time to make it to the top spot for the all decisive last race of the year. Liam Doran scored the third fastest time here, but it is Michaël De Keersmaecker to start the main final from the first row.
