After a new agreement the European series alongside the FIA European Rallycross Championship was baptised Rallycross Challenge Europe.
The Rallycross Challenge was officially approved during the FIA WSMC meeting on Friday, March 8 in Geneva. After previous discussions about the name for this new Rallycross series the Dutch ASN KNAF and the motorsport governing body FIA have come to a final decision.
The official name for the series is and will stay ‘Rallycross Challenge Europe’. The name emphasizes what the series stands for: Rallycross on European level with circuits located in Central Europe. The Rallycross Challenge Europe is now a ‘FIA Authorised International Series’ and meets all official European regulations for a Rallycross competition.
Rallycross Challenge Europe strives for a recognizable and unique series. With 6 rounds in 5 different countries, the Challenge offers a variety of races to pleasure Rallycross drivers and fans alike.
Next week the new Rallycross Challenge Europe website will go live, as will the new social media pages. Through these channels all Rallycross fans will be able to follow the Rallycross Challenge Europe closely.
