Without the strong competition of Belgian Patrick Van Mechelen it was Dutch-Italian Jos Kuijpers who had the saying at his home circuit this time. In the A final the Ford Focus Mk3 driver took another victory, ahead of his two compatriots Ron Snoeck and Marcel Ottink, while Belgian Ronny Scheveneels finished in fourth place. Among the Super1600 contenders the winners podium was an all Dutch affair, Marcel Snoeijers claiming victory from Peter van de Wege and Dennis Rijn.

In the TouringCars category Belgian Filip Baelus made good use of the ex-Pedro Bonnet Volvo C30/4 RWD to win the event from Dutch Rallycross lass Mandy Kasse and his fellow-countryman Ivo Van den Brandt. Jérôme Grosset-Janin claimed his fourth victory in as many rounds of the running season, almost making the SuperCars category to a one man show this year. Fabien Pailler, offspring of 1993 ERC winner Jean-Luc Pailler, became the runner-up while Rallycross veteran Hervé “Knapick” finished third to complete the Lessay podium. It seems that 9-times Rally World Champion Sébastien Loeb will get a competitive car for the European round at Lohéac, where he is going to compete in the “Kapick” Citroën DS3 by the end of August.

In the Super1600s class it was Jean-Baptiste Dubourg who bagged his third win in a row to increase his lead in the point standings over Adeline Sangnier. The Rallycross lady made it to third place here, beaten by runner-up David Olivier. FINRC: Round 4 of the Finnish Rallycross Championship was hosted last Saturday at the Pesämäen Moottoriurheilukeskus at Honkajoki, a municipality in the province of Western Finland, part of the Satakunta region. The weather was fine and the cheerful spectators enjoyed a day at the races in bright sunshine.

At the end of the event the A final looked as if becoming the prey of Janne Kanerva, the Citroën C4 driver after the GO producing a good start. However, Škoda Fabia Mk1 campaigner Aki Karttunen made up lost ground and the two started to fight for victory. With the result that Kanerva went off the track and Karttunen also dropped back. Full advantage for Joni-Pekka Rajala who took over the lead and subsequently drove his Mitsubishi Lancer E6 to his third consecutive series win. Reigning champion Atro Määttä in his Ford Focus Mk1 tried to catch Rajala, but failed and had to agree of being the runner-up.
