FRC: Pailler Bros in 208 SuperCars

Category: Miscellaneous, News Posted 25.03.14 19:30 by

Fabien and Jonathan, the sons of 1993 European Rallycross Champion Jean-Luc Pailler, have announced that both are ready to compete with Peugeot 208 SuperCars this year.

Jean-Luc Pailler – beside Eddy Bénézet (in 2000) the only Frenchman ever to have won an ERC title – has passed his racing genes on to his sons. Mikaël, in 2005 3rd overall of Division 2 in the FRC, passed away in January 2007, being just 28 years of age. Fabien, runner-up to the French 2013 SuperCars champion Jérôme Grosset-Janin, is currently walking in his fathers’ shoes, keen to claim the 2014 FRC title. Jonathan is the youngest Rallycrosser of the Breton family. He raced a Peugeot 206 to 5th place overall in Division 3 of the 2013 FRC, but this year will join his older brother in SuperCars.

While there is an all-new Peugeot 208 for Fabien in the making, Jonathan is taking over last year’s SuperCar of Fabien. Their main target is the French title, but Fabien has now announced that on top of his FRC series commitment he will also participate in two rounds of the new FIA World Rallycross Championship. “We’ll take part in at least the British [Lydden Hill in May] and the French event [Lohéac in September] of WorldRX this year. But we might enter even more WRX rounds, depending on how it goes with our French Rallycross Championship programme,” confirmed Fabien Pailler today.
