For the 2014 Gymkhana GRiD Final, to be held on November 1 in Madrid, Monster is offering a €10,000 prize purse and inviting Rallycross drivers with their SuperCars.
Calling all Rallycross SuperCar teams and drivers Monster Energy’s Gymkhana GRiD is offering a €10,000 prize purse to the winning driver of the 2014 championship final. Set to take place on the 1st of November in Madrid, Spain, the tyre shredding spectacular will be the season-ending competition of Gymkhana GRiD’s European Gauntlet championship.
Last year saw Ken Block, Dakar winner Nani Roma and FIA World Rallycross Championship drivers Liam Doran and Anton Marklund race against the clock and each other in GRiD’s unique form of competition.
Combining drift, drag and autocross competition into one built-for-the-fans event, Gymkhana GRiD is truly a competition like no other. Split into three classes, Gymkhana GRiD gives Rallycross SuperCars, All Wheel Drive (AWD) and Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) starters the chance to compete on a custom designed course.
This year the final will be supported by Ken Block, Liam Doran and a host of top line Monster Energy athletes, including Vaughn Gittin Jr., Steven ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni, Shane Lynch and the 2014 British Drift Champions Team Japspeed.
There are also some epic prizes and sponsor support on offer. Hoonigan, Corbeau Seats, Shining Monkey, Samco, 3M, Fifteen52, HPI and Lazer Lamps are just a few of the leading industry names that have supported the series and will be present in Spain on November 1.
