Hansen Motorsport driver Timur Timerzyanov closer to European Rallycross Championchip gold after his victory in Holland.

Hansen Motorsport’s Timur Timerzyanov took a step closer to the ERC gold when he with a safe hand took his Citroën DS3 SuperCar home to victory in the Dutch round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship. It was Timur’s third win in a row and with two rounds remaining the chances for an overall victory looks more and more promising. “Timur did a fantastic job today,” team manager Kenneth Hansen praises his driver. “He was quick and kept his nerves under control, a good combination.”

The A final was all about Russian Timur Timerzyanov, on pole position, and Frenchman Davy Jeanney, who set off in an uncatchable speed. Norwegian Frode Holte finished on a strong third place. Belgian Michaël De Keersmaecker and Norwegian Mats Lysen were busy defending themselves from American Tanner Foust, second in the championship and Timur’s toughest competitor for the ERC title. Swede Peter Hedström was the last man to cross the finish line on seventh place. The other Hansen driver in the A final, Norwegian Alexander Hvaal in his Citroën C4 started on third position, but had to face an early end to the race as there was rough driving in the first corner taking Alexander out. A couple of laps later he was forced to retire from the damages he got. Timur leads with 128 points ahead of Tanner Foust on 89 points and Alexander Hvaal (82) now. The next round is in Finland middle of September.

Eric Färén in the Super1600s class had a difficult ride in the B final. The Swede started second but lost his place already in the first corner when sliding out in the sand. After that he dropped down to sixth place due to steering problems.

Young Swede Kevin Hansen (14 years) in his JRX-Citroën had an engine failiure but managed anyway to get onto the podium as third. Frenchman Firmin Cadeddu took a new victory ahead of Hansen’s team colleague, Norwegian girl Ada Marie Hvaal.
