Mk3 of “Giuseppe” ready

Category: ERC, News Posted 15.02.13 20:01 by

The all-new 560bhp strong Ford Focus Mk3 SuperCar of multiple Rallycross champion Jos Kuijpers is ready and will be presented to the public this weekend in Belgium.

Our Belgian colleague Johnny Loix today took the first pictures of the ready-to-race 2013 Ford Focus Mk3 SuperCar of Jos Kuijpers. Immediately after the photo session the new machinery, equipped with a 560bhp and almost 900Nm strong turbocharged engine produced by Holland based Mike Callaghan Motorsport, was send to Belgium where it will be presented to “Joe Public” during the ‘RPower’ show, that takes place also tomorrow and on Sunday in the town of Rijkevorsel near the Belgian-Dutch border.

The reigning Dutch as well as Belgian Rallycross Champion Kuijpers, who has a Dutch as well as an Italian passport, but is competing in Rallycross events with an Italian racing licence, is very proud of his new car. “We’ve built the new Mk3 Focus over the winter and are very happy to got it ready in due time before the 2013 season starts. I’m certainly set to defend both my two titles, the Dutch and the Belgian one. I’m ready for the first test drives that will take place next week. Furthermore I will keep both my feet on the ground and have a look to take a later decision if I’m gonna race also in the FIA/IMG European Rallycross Championship or in the Rallycross Challenge”, claimed Ford campaigner Jos Kuijpers before leaving for Belgium.
