Henning Solberg has currently a budget for a total of eight World championship rounds together, either for WRC or WRX events, but has not yet decided about his concrete 2014 plans.
Today, on his 41st birthday, Henning Solberg revealed that he has already collected a budget that allows him to do a total of eight FIA World championship events. The Norwegian is going to spend his money either in rounds of the World Rally Championship (WRC) or the all-new World Rallycross Championship (WRX), but so far has only decided to compete in the Rally Sweden, to be held February 5–8.
“There will be eight World championship events with cars of Ford for me, whether in Rallying or Rallycross. However, I’m not fully satisfied with these prospects and, therefore, we still try to find more money to do some more races. The programme is not yet clear, but it is for sure that I’m going to drive the Rally of Sweden in February first. Rallying is the toughest motorsport there is, racing as fast as possible from point A to point B, while in Rallycross it all goes more about a good show,” said a relieved Solberg the Elder today to the Norwegian press.
