Sandell focused on GRC

Category: GRC, News, Shortcuts Posted 08.01.13 16:15 by

2006 Junior World Rally Champion Patrik Sandell has set his new focus on a career in the Global RallyCross Championship.

We at ERC24 are made believe that the 2006 Junior World Rally Champion Patrik Sandell is set to start a new career in US Rallycross and is going to compete in the 2013 Global RallyCross Championship. The Swede, who is currently back in the United States, attended the 2012 GRC Finale at SEMA in Las Vegas and was subsequently also involved in SuperCar test drives of Andréas Eriksson’s OMSE team. Beside the good contacts with his Ford backed compatriots Sandell is also cooperating with the American NC Rally Team, based in Glen Cove (US state of New York), that is specialised in Subaru performance, Rally car preparation and event support.

The experienced Subaru team is planning to start a Rallycross programme with Sandell as their star driver, who they offer to potential sponsors as the right man for to put tokens on: “Patrik has all the necessary qualities and top accolades as one of the best Rally Racers in the World. With major corporate and factory support and many podiums finished around the globe Patrik has set his mark on the Rally Racing community. So far in his career his focus has been the World Rally Championship and building strong relationships while always finishing up front, with a total 41 WRC races, he has the drive and determination necessary to go all the way in the Global RallyCross Series with the NC Rally Team. He thrives in the spotlight, is popular with the motorsport press around the World and has the physique of a top sportsman.”
