Rallycross Challenge

The Rallycross Challenge is happy to announce that our rules and regulations have been approved by the FIA Off-Road Commission last week.

In the FIA Off-Road Commission meeting some difficult issues were on the agenda. We’re happy this didn’t have a negative influence on the approval of our rules and regulations (see link below). The support of the FIA Off-Road Commission means a lot to us as it also underlines their faith in our challenge.

We do regret that some stories have come up online, concerning the cancellation of the European Rallycross Championship race at Mondello Park in Ireland. We don’t see our Challenge as rival series to the European Rallycross Championship and our FIA approved calendar is based on 40 years of Rallycross experience plus the situation our organisers are in.

Furthermore we’d be as surprised as honored if FIA and IMG truly see our race at the Eurocircuit in Valkenswaard as more important than the race in Ireland. We can only hope people know better.

The Rallycross Challenge is a competition that fills the gap between national championships and the expensive championship as organised by IMG. Our goal is to organise a professional, affordable challenge that results in attractive races for drivers and the fans. We aim to share our passion for Rallycross and think this can only be done with clear regulations, friendly entry fees, attractive prize money and low ticket prices for the fans to enjoy their sport.

So far we’ve received loads of enthusiasm for this initiative from both drivers and fans. The coming weeks we will be working on our website and the promotion of the first race in Melk, Austria, on 21st of April. We aim for a successful kick-off and will do our upmost to serve drivers and fans with six great Rallycross weekends!
