Norwegian youngster Alexander Hvaal to continue his cooperation with Hansen Motorsport in the 2012 Citroën DS3 SuperCar of Euro Champ Timur Timerzyanov.
From Norway ERC24 understood last night that Alexander Hvaal has signed a new deal with Hansen Motorsport. The Norwegian is going to drive the 2012 ERC winning Citroën DS3 SuperCar of Russian Timur Timerzyanov. Hvaal has set his target on becoming the first winner of the new FIA/IMG ERX series. Therefore, he has taken Andreas Larsson of ‘Formtoppa Sport och Events’ as his personal driving coach and works on with Per Eftang for mental coaching. Last, but not least, will the continuing cooperation with his mechanic Oskar Lund be a big advantage for Hvaal.
“I’m very happy with the new deal. Hansen Motorsport is a very good team. So I could not think of a better place to drive this year. I’m certainly going to give Rallycross returnee Petter Solberg a hell of a fight. I had a small test with the DS3 already last year. It’s a great car for sure. It differs much from the older C4 I used before and I’m very happy to be in that car this year. We are going to have a three SuperCar drivers team with HM, but the chances will be equal for all of us, the first to the finish line is the one who counts.”
