Long time Subaru campaigner Patrick Van Mechelen has agreed to buy the Ford Fiesta Mk7 SuperCar of Jos Kuijpers.

Belgian Rallycrosser Patrick Van Mechelen did not take part in today’s NLRC round at Valkenswaard but was at the venue to agree a deal with Dutch-Italian Ford driver Jos Kuijpers. “I needed a new challenge for myself. My current Subaru Impreza GD SuperCar is prepared to its limits, but nevertheless not quick enough to be a winner. After thinking my situation over I got the chance to buy the Ford Fiesta of Jos, a perfectly built car and very fast as well. Today at the Eurocircuit we came to the final agreement. As soon as Jos’ season is over we’ll take the Fiesta to Belgium and in 2013 I’m going to drive Rallycross with a new make and model,” said the proud Belgian this afternoon at Valkenswaard.
