With more than one hour of delay the first Qualifying Heat was started and saw at 18:20h local time Tanner Foust winning from Liam Doran and Mats Lysen.

After several cars fell victim to the new and pretty high jump at the Kouvola track and complaints by some of the drivers it was decided to change it to forecome further problems. However, it took the organisers more than one hour to prepare the track, with the result that the competitors jumped only half as high as in the previous practice runs.

When the time keepers lists had been published it was American Tanner Foust (Ford Fiesta Mk7) who was found on top of the SuperCars standings. The Ford campaigner set the fastest time ahead of Briton Liam Doran (Citroën DS3) and Norwegian Mats Lysen (Renault Clio Mk3). Championship leader Timur Timerzyanov (Citroën DS3) drove the fourth fastest time, followed by Frenchman Davy Jeanney (Citroën C4) and Swede Stig-Olov Walfridsson (Renault Clio Mk3). Kenneth Hansen’s son Timmy finished the X Games winning Citroën DS3 on eleventh position.

The Super1600s category was dominated by the Set Promotion Team, the three Finns Teemu Suninen, Joni Wiman and Jussi-Petteri Leppihalme were able to keep championship leader Norwegian Andreas Bakkerud (all four Renault Clio Mk2) behind. Fifth place went to Russian Rasul Minnikhanov (Renault Twingo Mk2), his compatriot Vadim Makarov (Škoda Fabia Mk2) claimed sixth position.

In the TouringCars class the two Swedish youngsters Robin Larsson (Škoda Fabia Mk1) and Anton Markund (Ford Fiesta Mk7) bagged first and second place. Irishman Derek Tohill (Ford Fiesta Mk7) claimed fourth place behind another Swede, Daniel Lundh (Volvo C30). The places five and six went to the Finnish drivers Jari Järvenpää (BMW 1 E87) and “Pirkka” Karlsson (Mazda RX-8).
