First practice runs completed here at Lydden Hill Race Circuit in England for this weekend’s opening round of the ERC; master of the house Liam Doran, Norwegian Andreas Bakkerud and Irishman Derek Tohill fastest.
All three divisions took part in this weekend’s first practice session. Conditions were wet and particularly greasy on the track. Hansen Motorsport driver Alexander Hvaal made his debut appearance at Lydden Hill, and looked to be quickly getting to grips with a new car and new track. “Things went ok, this is my first time on this track and with a new team car, but the team is running well and are hugely supportive. At the moment I feel comfortable in the car and hope to get quicker in the next session,” said Hvaal.
Liam Doran also showed home fans first glimpse of his new Citroën DS3 SuperCar. “We still got some adjustments to do to the car, but it feels great,” revealed Liam Doran.
Andreas Bakkerud finished fastest in his Renault Twingo Mk2 in the Super1600 class, looking to be back in great form, while Derek Tohill was fastest of the TouringCar drivers.
The next session looms, and weather conditions continue to remain wet.
