Reinis Nitišs the driver from Jēkabpils, Latvia and former Super1600 2013 FIA European Rallycross Champion has left Olsbergs MSE.
Former Super1600 European Champion, and 2015/14 OMSE World Rallycross Supercar driver Reinis Nitišs has announced via Twitter that he has left OMSE and will be part of a new team for the 2016 season.
The 20-year old, who has also gained titles in the FIA NEZ Rallycross Championship, Estonian Rallycross Championship and Baltic Rallycross Championship – competed in the World RX with Olsbergs MSE in 2014 and 2015 finishing the seasons 3rd and 7th respectively.
The former SET Promotion Super1600 competitor will announce his plans imminently, with an official team member stating that:
“As you see from last tweets – there is some major news coming up, we will reveal the plans in an official announcement this week.”
There has been much speculation over which team Nitišs could join. So far Petter Solberg RX, Team Peugeot-Hansen, EKS and All-Inkl.com Münnich are yet to confirm their final line-ups. There are also rumors that Toomas ‘Topi’ Heikkinen, who has been working with Mazda during the Winter season could be an option for Nitišs if a team makes entry.
