Proceedings are underway at the fourth round of the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill. Bakkerud has so far shown the fastest pace.
During this morning’s practice sessions it’s Hoonigan Racing driver Andreas Bakkerud who sets the fastest time.
Local driver Liam Doran reflected on the excitement that competing in a home event brings:
“I always get a kick about racing back in the UK, especially coming back to my home track. Being an all British team, a British driver at a British event this season makes it extra special to be honest. The fans that come out are always great here too, so it’s pretty cool.”
Tanner Foust, who is also back at Lydden, and a former two-time winner also expressed his excitement.
“Its great to back competing with some of the best drivers around, and it’s a track that I really love racing on!”
Q1 is set to get underway at 12.00.
