Livery of Coox Scirocco unveiled

Category: ERC, May, News Posted 12.05.12 19:59 by

Today Belgian Rallycross ace Jochen Coox revealed the livery of his new VW Scirocco Mk3 SuperCar in the making, the design has been thought up by ERC24’s Qba Nitka.

With less than two months to go before the new machinery of Jochen Coox is scheduled to be ready for its first test drives every single day seems to take a week for the Belgian Rallycrosser. The Coox team expects the all-new VW Scirocco Mk3 SuperCar to be ready in time for Round 4 of the Belgian Rallycross Championship, to be held on July 8 at the Duivelsbergcircuit at Maasmechelen. The Swedish IGMAB crew is currently working almost non-stop on the Volkswagen Scirocco to get it ready for the July event.

“Yep, the team of Ingvar Gunnarsson Motorsport is working hard on the project day by day. As they nearing the end of their job I myself become more and more impatient. We hope to debut the Scirocco at Maasmechelen, but if we can make the event everything must be well done in due time. We will not force anything that direction, if we cannot reach the deadline for Maasmechelen we focus on the July 15 event at Valkenswaard instead. However, I try to do as many as possible testing kilometers prior to my home ERC round at Maasmechelen. There I’m going to sell myself as dearly as possible,” claimed Jochen Coox today.

About the programme to follow the Belgian ERC event Coox has not decided yet. “I presume I will do the remaining rounds of the Belgian Rallycross Championship as well as the Dutch and the German round of the European series. But all depends on the results of the first one or two races,” said Coox.
