PVM set for Lydden Hill

Category: ERC, News, Shortcuts Posted 05.04.12 16:37 by

Subaru driver Patrick Van Mechelen adds round one to his 2012 ERC campaign.

Patrick Van Mechelen has announced his attendance to Lydden Hill, for the first round of the ERC in ten days time. The Subaru campaigner had previously announced his European programme to only include excursions to his native Belgium and neighbouring Holland, but decided to extend his itinerary to include an outing to the home of Rallycross – Lydden Hill in England.

“The Subaru has had a complete overhaul during the Winter with engine and exhaust replacements. We are now ready to fight back,” said the team pre-season. Van Mechelen finished second earlier this month behind Dutch driver Jos Kuijpers, in the first round of the Belgian Rallycross Championship held in Maasmechelen, and will now take on the first round of the ERC. “A result is difficult to predict, but reaching the finals would be a victory in itself – this is the goal for us,” said the Belgian.
