GRC: Charlotte wakes up

Category: May, News, Shortcuts Posted 23.05.12 03:36 by

ERC24 crew member Qba Nitka is at Charlotte in the USA to eye-witness the proceedings for the opening round of the 2012 Global Rallycross Championship.

On Tuesday some of the Rallycross teams have been to the Charlotte Motor Speedway at Concord in North Carolina for their first check outs at the venue of the GRC opener. American Ken Block faced first differential problems of his Mk7 Ford Fiesta. His compatriot Travis Pastrana needs to get acquainted with his all-new Dodge Dart, claiming “its a big difference to the cars I used for Rallycross before, the Dodge is very long .” Briton Andy Scott is also trying to get more familiar with the Saab 9-3 while for OMSE team principal Andréas Eriksson did the test drives of the Marcus Grönholm and Tanner Foust Fiestas at the all tarmac track. The Subaru PUMA team did not show up with their cars, but decided to do their own tests on Wednesday near Charlotte.
