The Russian Timur Timerzyanov gains his second consecutive SuperCar win in Belgium. Krzysztof Skorupski takes the Super1600 class – Robin Larsson wins in the TouringCars.

Timur Timerzyanov increases his lead at the top of the SuperCar standings by a much greater margin. Timerzyanov headed out in front from pole position and from there on drove brilliantly accurate laps. The American Tanner Foust gained a well-deserved second place conquering the fierce battle for second place. Doran and Grosset-Janin were all front runners for a place on the podium but were eventually forced to surrender to Davy Jeanney who performed when it mattered.

After the dust had settled, the final classification saw Jos Kuijpers gain 4th, the Frenchman Grosset-Janin 5th, Doran sixth, Walfridsson 7th and Michael de Keersmaecker 8th after he crashed out drifting into the guard rail.

In the Super1600 class Polish driver Skorupski gained the victory with a start to finish win. Gaining the best start from the outside, Skorupski led Bakkerud and Wiman into the first corner – seconds later Bakkerud’s entry to the joker-lap was too fast and ‘Mr Baby Blue’ slid sideways into the guard rail. The battle was also tightly fought. Rakhmatullin and Wiman exchanged places, before Rakhmutullin was forced to’joker’. In the meantime Skorupski’s lead had strengthened and the Pole held on to cross the line fairly comfortably. Wiman gained an outstanding second position in his debut event and teammate Leppihalme third.

Larsson got off to the best start in the TouringCar A-Final, beating pole placed Marklund into the first bend, but Marklund kept his foot in. Pauwels was forced out of podium contention after contact from Pedro Bonnet, leaving three Swedes alone to cross the finish line. Larsson’s lead was too strong, the Fabia driver finishing ahead of Marklund and Daniel Lundh – an all Swedish podium.

In just a weeks’ time drivers will battle it out across the border in Holland contesting the seventh round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship.
