KOB goes to Hell

Category: ERC, June, News Posted 20.06.12 17:58 by

Norwegian 2009 Division 2 European Rallycross Champion Knut Ove Børseth returns to the ERC for his home event at Hell the coming weekend.

After a break of one year 2009 Division 2 ERC winner Knut Ove Børseth will be back to business and is set to drive his home European round at the Lånkebanen in Hell. “There has been a hectic year for me and my people with the creation and the start-up of our national youth organisation ‘Kjør for livet’ [Drive for Life]. But as Rallycross is my favourite branch of motorsport there is no doubt that I’m really looking forward to take part in the ERC event on my home track. After competing at Höljes in 2011 my Ford Focus Mk2 SuperCar has been used for the last time when in October 2011 the Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon Magnus visited our project for youngsters and I was allowed of being his ‘racing taxi driver’ at the nearby Bollandsmoen Motorsportsenter. Later on the Focus was completely stripped down, went into an acid bath and over the winter was rebuild by Marius Gjevik of BullStar Performance to an almost new car. As my aim is always to be among the top drivers I’m going to drive each run of the event as if it would be an A final. If the car and equipment does not fail I hope for a top result and I promise to give all I can to offer my youngsters and the public a fast and exciting experience,” claimed Børseth while preparing for Hell.
