Foust wins 2012 ERC kick-off
US boy Tanner Foust makes the SuperCar class of the 2012 ERC opener at Lydden his, “Juspe” Leppihalme wins the Super1600 category ahead of his team mate “Mister Baby Blue” Bakkerud, and Anton Marklund claims victory of the TouringCar campaigners.
Tanner Foust claims A final pole
US ace Tanner Foust dominated heat three to place him on pole in the A final of the SuperCars. Swede “Stecka” Walfridsson and Briton Andy Scott will also start on the front row. Linnemann wins heat three, but Leppihalme will start on pole for Super1600 alongside teammate Andreas Bakkerud. Derek Tohill was quickest in TouringCars.
“Stecka” takes second heat
Swedish driver Stig-Olov “Stecka” Walfridsson took a well-deserved fastest race time in the second SuperCar heat. Andy Scott leads the British rebellion, grabbing second fastest. Jussi-Petteri Leppihalme in Super1600s, TouringCars won by Derek Tohill.
Foust dominates heat one
The first heat got underway as planned this morning, American Tanner Foust built on quick times gained yesterday to finish almost two seconds faster than the rest of the pack. Elsewhere, “Mr Baby Blue” Andreas Bakkerud took first heat of Super1600, Czech TouringCar driver Roman Častoral was quickest in his class.
